I love the "our low price" part of it!

And i always thought they an OK place to deal with.I see local gun show dingbats trying to get less! When its all back to normal we should remember this kind of stuff.

You aren't alone when it comes to won't "buy from them again". Those boys don't realize or don't care that they have shot themselves in the foot so to speak.

Sad thing is, there's plenty of new comers to the shooting sports daily that don't realize they are not Cheaper than Dirt, they are Lower than Dirt.
Those new comers will keep their business alive.

It is "low-educated" newbie shooters that get suckered into that scam. (something like obama voters)

It is up to us to spread the word about reloading!

My motto: "If I can't reload it.......I don't shoot it." So much for 22LR's!

CTD will not survive at those prices. There is a huge thread on here somewhere complaining about the virtues of CDT.

I found some powder locally not long ago. The seller wanted to meet me at Cheaper than Dirt. I told him that I would not even go on their parking lot. If he wanted to meet at a gas station or something near there fine, but NOT there. He seemed surprised but we met elsewhere. He told me when we met that he had not bought anything there in about a year, but everyone knows where it is so it is a good meeting place. Not for me!

Reward your friends, punish your enemies.
Customers, as strangers for the most part, deserve upgraded service and longtime customers deserve REAL recognition, not ctd BS.

All the reviews look good. Of course none have been posted in the past 2 years or maybe they stopped being good? I particularly liked the review saying how he liked the price, I'd probably like the price two years ago. And the guy who has shot 1,000 rounds, just getting that many would be a challenge this last year.

No cheaper than dirt for me.

I took them off my list during the '08 elections. And, for the record, they reallt never were "cheaper" than other places. Now they rank down there with the Dixie Chicks in my book...people I won't spend money to buy their product

I gave up on CTD during the Y2K hoopla, they had a warehouse full of MRE's and the like for what seemed like pretty crazy prices. I hope they still has most of them.

I was visiting my brother in Fort Worth a number of years ago and we happened to drive by ctd. I had him stop in to see what it was about. I left after 5 minutes telling my brother the only dirt they were cheaper than was high grade gold ore. Never spent a dime with them.

That ammo is near twice what we in Australia pay for it, I think the cheaper than dirt part is there lack of common decency, but we have a few rip offs like it here as well.

I quit them a long time ago, when I moved here in Mo. and found Midway and Graf had better pricing. Another bonus is that Miday is about an long hour and Graf's store is about 8 miles away. With Graf's I order, in three days they call me and I pick up, no shipping and handling charges at all. If it is small enough to carry on my motorcyle that gets 40+ gas mileage, I can make the 16 mile round trip a bunch of times on 1 gal. of gas.

Not a defense of Cheaper Than Dirt, but this tool set is not out of line. If Brownell's was a little closer in price, I would be inclined to buy from them.

All 3 are within a couple bucks of each other. If you factor shipping and CTD handling fee they are the most expensive? I'm a little confused by this? Am I missing something?
