How to use Search properly?

I'm trying to find information on the 32 Winchester Special. When I search, I get a lot of unwanted hits like "38 Special". How do I make the search engine look for an exact match? There must have been a bunch of threads on this, sometime. :-?

My experience has been that the search function on this forum ignores numerals, so that a search for '33 Winchester' turns up all references to Winchester. 'Twould be berry nice to get that fixed, if possible, but it may just be a part of the software package.

The search limit is 3 characters. So you can search for 357 but not 38 (example). It's setup that way for a few reasons, #1 it would really start to bog down the server trying to search every single 2 letter word, the index database would grow extremely large, and the search results that someone would get would be huge.
