It is supposed to rain here most of the weekend, but I did find time yesterday morning to add to my little boolit army. (I cast outside) It's quite a slow go with the one-holer, but it's kinda relaxing too. I could hear thunder in the distance the entire time, but it let me cast enough to make me happy. :)

I believe those are the first HP button nose wadcutters that I have ever seen. Does the HP help the stability for longer range shooting or is it for expansion?

It's for expansion. The HP is adjustable and if I run it down into the boolit halfway or a little better, it makes it plump on impact, (not mushroom) but just plump out to somewhere around .44 or better.
Also, I just like the way it looks, I haven't seen anybody else makin' em. 8-)

I use em for shooting turtles, so I have nicknamed this one the Turtle Buster.

I haven't used it for testing much, but my friend Jim fired a few into jugs and here is what happened.

Left side = as cast (137 grains)
Middle = 800 fps.
Right is 1050 fps and measures .445

I had Eric do his magic on a 358495 2-banger, and it turns out similar boolits. Sweet!

What was the alloy? I have been waiting for a 358432HP from a buddy of mine.....I was thinking J-Frame snubbie loads with a soft alloy........your answer will help me determine if my plan is a bust before it starts...THANK YOU
