Dolly thinks the sofa belongs to her. Yesterday, Janet had newspapers spread all over the sofa cutting out coupons. Dolly was highly indignant that her bed was being used as a work table and decided she needed some 'daddy time'. So I got 80 lbs. of Walker Hound in my lap. Dang dog's near 'bout big as me (which ain't sayin' much!).

Awww, she loves her Daddy. Used to have a Dalmation that thought she was a lapdog.

Nice looking dog Jim...
I need to find one with Honey, my 180 pound English Mastiff that thought she had to sit with me in my recliner all the time. I really didn't mind, she was part of the family too.... I really miss her.

I'll see your lap full of Walker and raise you a lap full of Great Dane.

This is Lord Remington and he wandered into my daughters place 3 years ago next weekend. In this picture he weighs 106 #'s and he should be about 150. When we found him he weighed 86#'s. He had ear infections so bad that both ears were a mass of scabs from being scratched all the time. We turned him over to animal control and when no one claimed him, we took him in. His original owner showed up about a year after we found him. The guy had the audacity to ask if he could have him back. It was all I could do to keep from putting a size 13 boot to his scrotum. People should be treated the way they treat their animals.

Remington is about 5 years old now and they say the average life span of a Great Dane is only about 8 years. I'm hoping that because he is small that he may be granted an extra year or two. After all, it's only fair after what he went through for the first two years.

All the love and affection he has given to me has brought me happiness beyond measure. Even the thought of losing him someday brings tears to my eyes. Dale

How do you breath with all that dog on you? And what happens if she wants to turn around and face the other way? And what happens when you have to pee?

Here's one just for you Jim. While she is only 8 lbs she is a lap dog but she isn't fond of the item in my right hand.

I believe you need to get up off the couch and feed that pore underfed beast! I think she may be fallin' off in weight a little! :D

L Sapp; if your are referring to my picture, I'll have you know there are two "poor underfed beasts" on that couch. Both of us NEED to be "fallin' off in weight" a lot!!

I have a pit bull terrier that literally walked into my house. My brother in law came over and the dog was standing next to him at the front door. They both walked in together. That was 3 years ago. I named him Bob. Doesn't like thunderstorms so he will either jump up in my lap or climb. Depending on how bad the storm is. He's got going to the bathroom down pat. Comes into my den and either I get the paw treatment or he starts barking (I gotta go now) to let me know it's that time. Frank

Looks like my walker hound Jim except with Tizzie in that position she is upside down and insisting the tummy gets rubbed on, the only thing better than a tummy rub is a cookie. She doesn't understand AKC & can't figure out the Walker Coon Hound part, she insists her breed is Treeing Walker Lap Hound, just as she likes it and according to her just as it should be.

I've got four Walkers, trained to run deer. They'll get fat like that in the summer if I feed them too much, but once hunting season opens, I pour as much 26% protein, high performance food as I can to them. Even feeding them as much of the Hi-pro food as they can hold, by the end of the season, they'll be down to skin and bones. When you consider that it's nothing for one of them to cover 30-40 miles of Florida swamp in a day, it's easy to understand why.
