I made some new boolits this weekend. I got a new NOE 358429 RG2 and it makes a really nice boolit. I hadn't cast with aluminum before, but it wasn't much different than my brass and steel, as far as technique and temperature.
I'm really happy with it. 8-)

Here's a pic of the mold, in case you aren't familiar with NOE's RG setup for HP pins.http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt214/shutupandjump/cast%20boolits/Picture068_zps1e1fd4cb.jpg

those bullets look amazing,
i have a lyman 358429, that being said, it is a round lube grove,

but your bullets look so much crisper and cleaner and perfect.

all i can say is wow.

what do they weigh?

Looks like a nice design, but I'm guessing it is a shorter nose than the original.

Great casting job, those should shoot really well.

My 505 says they weigh 161.2 grains, on average.

The nose on the NOE's is .351, and the Ideal is .383 forward of crimp groove.
Here are some of my Ideal 358429s, cast with a HP pin mod by Buckshot.
They do have a pretty good nose on 'em. ;-)
