I went to 12 different places today to buy a box of ammo for my .380 (that just got fixed to the tune of $210) and I kept hearing over and over again "sorry we don't have any". Now, I have 5 rounds left, that is enough to protect myself if
I needed it but I really want to go shoot and 5 rounds
Is only a tease. Anyone know where I can find ammo here in Texas?

I was in my Walmart the other day. They had boxes of 380. About the only thing LOL. That was in Arizona. YMMV

I shoot 9MM, 45ACP and .223 I have collected most of what I need to cast and load all I shoot! I hate depending on others for ammo and shooting supplies. Hard to believe there are still shortages! I've had to wait for many of my reloading supplies mostly in the hardware area! I've been getting on waiting lists and hoping I get an Email! Need a few more odds and ends and I will be set for the most part! Until the next toy!! LOL!!!

Have you been to the old Brocks gunshop in copperas cove. It's in a small strip mall on the left side going into copperas cove. I think the name has changed but if anyone in the area has any he would. Another place would be action Pawn #1 which is the store off 190 across from the old Kmart.

Pecos County Feed & Supply Store out in Ft. Stockton. I stopped through there last week and he had a variety of pistol and rifle ammo in stock. The prices were of course marked up $3-$4 a box (Am Eagle 9mm $21.50, usually $16.99 at Bass Pro) but he had some.

That's a long ride from Ft. Hood...

A Walmart near me usually gets enough Tula .380 and .223 most Mondays to keep the case stocked halfway through the week with their 3 box maximum. A lack of .380 ammo is a common conversation among new CCW permit holders at the range I frequent.

Stopped into my local Wally-world this morning to see if they had any 357 Sig for a relative--none to be found. However, they did have a fresh shipment of Federal 9mm (50round), and WWB Value packs (there's an oxy moron for you) of 40 S&W and 45ACP. That was all, no other handgun caliber on the shelf.

I've got some that I can spare but the shipping would probably kill you. :(

My bass pro had tons of Sig. I would think Walmart wouldn't carry much Sig or 10mm. The least common the ammo the least likely to grab at Walmart. Have you all tried using the apps for locating Walmart ammo?

My DIL works in the local WM, says it's still going on. People waiting when the truck comes in, limit 3 boxes, bring your whole family and load up. Only consolation is that there is some to be found if you're quick enough. GW

You just have to learn to cast and reload them tiny boolits.

We can trade clean lead for Boolits :-)

I'm up for a trade. There's another guy here that I'm waiting on a email from also, the more I get the happier I'll be. Optimally I'd like at least 100 rounds, that will last me about a week. Then I'll be in this dilemma again :-/

380 ammo got tight a few years back. I started casting for mine soon after I got it, a Sig P-238. I bought a bunch of Hornady 90 Gr XTP jacketed bullets before this last mess started and still have a couple hundred of those left. I'll load those up for SD rounds sooner or later.
Do you have a Gander Mountain close? Seems that I remember the last time I was in one here that they had some 380. Just keep looking, I see 380 on the shelves here and there.

My local shop has .380 by the case. I don't remember if it was 360 or 460 per 1k. He had pretty much everything except .22.

I'd range out a little bit. Check stores in Lampasas, Gatesville, Temple and Belton by phone. I know in Temple there are plenty of places to ask. Roundrock and Cedar Hill other options.

Additional info/thought- Last time I was in Waco, 2 or 3 years ago, there were about 4 gunshops and a lot of retail places. A little farther travel, but still a possible source. Also, google gun stores in Austin, I know there is McBride's on N. Lamar. Call them and check the availability. Most of there people are knowledgable and might be able to help.

"Academy" stores here in Dallas usually have .380s in stock.

Scored five boxes of PMC FMJ 90gr for $18.99 ea/50 the day before we picked up the P238. After one range trip with it we're down to 125-ish rounds. ;)

I may be sending my Lee 356120TC off for HP treatments so it'll drop 85-90gr boolets. :D

Edit: Seems it'd be cheaper to buy a modified mold from Erik. On my list now!
