Well, I asked, and WOW, did I get! VTDW and Jon K sent me, between the two of them, 75 pounds of raw and finished lead ingots, some antimony, 20:1, and a pretty cool wooden box for safe storage.
Then, same day, a buddy who works at an indoor range brought me about 20 pounds of range scrap lead for smelting, when I get a set up. (He told me they have a machine to separate the lead from the shredded tire backstop...and pulled out 12,000 pounds. No, that's NOT an extra zero, that's 12,000 pounds. They will be smelting it themselves, unknown if they're going to sell it, or send it to recyclers.)
So, all in all, I am set for quite some time for lead, thank you to everyone! I guess I am going to have to cast more often...:mrgreen::-D:drinks:

Munising? I grew up in St. Joseph, MI. I kinda miss that wicked cold wind whipping off a gray churning Lake Michigan in January - unique...

nice thing is you can shoot into a snowbank all winter and go in the spring and pick up all your bullets. Snow is an amazing stopper of bullets.

"Snow", that's the fluffy white stuff, falls from clouds, cooler than 32 degrees Fahrenhiet, right? Heard of it, seen it on TV. Don't see much of it here in AZ.. :)

Drive through Flagstaff, in a 2wd with all season tires in late Nov. and you will see more than you want to if memory serves me well. Gianni.
