Just bought a new Henry Big Boy in .44 mag. This is my first .44 and I will possibly use it to deer hunt with. Any body have any suggestions on a bullet design that works good in these rifles ? I know it will be trial and error but just trying to find a good starting point if I decide to cast for it. I know the Marlin bores usually run on the large side but haven't found much on the Henry specs.

A shorter COAL is needed for this lever. My Dad uses the Lee 44-310-RF for the heavy and crimps on the Short COAL. He also uses the NOE 265 design and it's a great boolit too.

IIRC a .310 nose length design is about as long as the rifle will take.

Most LSWC will be finicky. So a RNFP or TCFP is going to feed the best.
