I live with two women who have long, beautiful hair. Mother and daughter are cute, but high maintenance. Clearing clogged bathroom sink drains is a way of life around here. Taking out the trap is a real PITN, mostly because it involves moving all the stuff under the sink first. Today. I tried using a copper shotgun cleaning brush from the top. Just attach the brush to the tip section of a shotgun rod, lower it into the drain, twist and pull up the decomposed hair and soap for dumping on a paper towel. All done in five minutes without moving the bathroom junk collection twice, or mopping up spilled yukwater. The shotgun brush is also a great clog buster in vacuum cleaner hoses, too.

A lot of the time it comes out when you pull the stopper. It hangs up on the stopper latch and the adjustment pin. Gianni

Sounds like you reinvented the Zip-It:

That Zip-It looks like quite a tool. The shotgun brush takes several trips, but does about the same thing the Zip-It does in one shot. OTOH, I doubt if Zip-It will clean my Ithacas.
