Too nice a day to do yard work so I got out the casting stuff, really needed more of the .38 Snakebite Greasewagon Black Powder Specials. The Lee sixer mold was as I left it last year, with cavities full of lead. Got my pot up to 750 degrees and began - the first fill plopped out perfect boolits (well, perfect for what I use 'em for!). Last year I gave it a spray of mold release before casting 2000 slugs , and this year it needed no spray, smoke, or incantations whatsoever. No whacking stick needed for the entire run, either, I must be living right. [smilie=1:
Anyhow thought I'd post my results along with the rest today. Five quarts of boolits, just shy of 3000, and now I gotta pan lube them but that can wait until my sweetie's out of town. :castmine:
