Looks like a good boolit for the .45 ACP and a lightweight plinker for the .45 Colt.

How heavy can the .45 GAP use?

So are you happy or what?

Yelp.........happy. Open the sprue cutter by hand & when the mould halves separate the boolits fall free.

Superb casting job. That is a good a boolit as can be made.

Great copy of the classic H&G 68, one of the best boolits ever designed for .45 ACP.

If the dimensions are the same as an original, set to 1.250 to 1.260 LOA, taper crimp
as a separate operation to .470 or a bit smaller and you will have some fine ammo.

LAH - That's about a beautiful clone of the H&G 68. Nice square base. Nice casting job, really. You can now (probably) think about parting with nearly all of your other 45ACP molds. About none of them is going to make boolits that shoot as well as your new ones. I can't believe the number of powders that will produce great groups with that cartridge & boolit. 45ACP's seem to like everything !!!. Mike

Very nice bullet great job thats the style of swc I shoot every day in my 45acp & 45 colt. They really function in my Springfield 1911 & my Colt 1911. They see 5000 of those every year have fun.8-)

I think Tom sells more of this mold than any other. Make sure to check the OAL before you load up a bunch. Use your barrel as a guide. The 1.25-1.26" mentioned will not work in my barrel. Mine has a very short throat.

Thanks guys for all the nice words. I haven't fired this boolit & have no 1911 in which to. I'll shoot some in my Ruger BH. I've owned a total of one 1911 in my life time & with the 068 Ballisti-Cast it did best with an OAL of 1.275". The load was 5.7 grains of 231. I'll send these to one of my 1911 customers & see how they do.

I'm not sure your going to like that Boolit.
Better ship the mold to me so I can dispose of it properly! ;)

I have a 5 cavity version of that same mold. It casts beautifully.

My nephew and I shot up about 200 or so of these today. Great way to spend an afternoon.

I have several Accurate Molds and I'm happy with all of them! With Tom's quality, and quick turnaround, it's a wonder there are still so many group buys going on! These days the only group buys I'll get involved in are either HP or HB, or for a pointed boolit. Everything else I get from Tom. His 4 cavity brass moulds are little wonders that cast as good as they look when you first get them. It's almost a shame to heat them up and cast with them, as they never quite look the same as when you first get them!
