My sons are hardcore drillers, ( they search gold and stuf like that).
They brought me a tube of lube that they use to lube the Atlas copco drill that they use.
The lube is " blue lube", ( made in US).
On the tube you can read " from -30 deeges Celsius to + 230 deegres Celsius.
It starts to drip at + 290 C.

I wonder: Does anyone knows what lube this is?
Can I mix this lube with beewax and make my own bullet lube?
I wonder what your LBT BLUE is made of?

I'd like to know what the ingredients in this lube are, and if it's something applicable, where can it be bought and for how much? I have always used LBT's Blue Soft, and I have always wondered what the main ingredients were.

It says:PREMIUM HI-TEMP.
Leadfree lube based on a paraffin baseoil, with a thermal stabil litiumsoap.
That is what it says.

Lithium makes the lube to have too much viscosity for all applications but revolters out of time. If you are going to use this stuff, use it plain or with just enough of beeswax to make the final lube just thick enough. The lube, if terribly sticky to the touch, might be improved with dusting the final boolits with motor mica or baby powder. Using in high speed rifles probably will have an accuracy problem, unless the temps are approaching 100F. ... felix
