I think if I was a would-be crook and got beat up and shot at by a 9yo boy, I'd go into a different line of work. Or at least stay away from where the tough kids leave.

Not the boy's gun, he fired in self defense, is a juvenile, no laws broken, on his side. LE can trace the gun (really?) file for armed robbery, endangerment of a child, non-licensed, etc. The story makes good press for the gungrabber-in-cheif but the truth makes better press for our side.
