Been using Lyman dies in 40 65 Win. for the Cimarron high wall.

Set has a neck sizer along with a FL sizer and both are quite small in the neck.

I estimate as much as five or six thousandths. Expander is correct.

I need to enlarge the neck areas of both dies as I have had to scrap a bunch of nickel brass after only two or three loadings due to excessive working of the brass.
Should I use emery cloth on a dowell or find a reamer or send them back to Lyman?
BTW I discovered a good load with the RCBS CSA 300 grain boolit.:-D

I'm not familar with a 40/65 but if the neck is only being worked 5-6 thousants, that seems pretty much normal. If it were less, some makes of thinner brass may not get reduced enough to hold your bullets.

My experience is that nickle plated brass usually only lasts two or three resizings.

Got the fired nickel cases with the rifle, no telling how old it is.
Reformed 45 70, annealed, is like the Energizer bunny. I probably have no problem.
Thanks for the input!
