I am just getting into casting and I need to buy a pot. Which one would you recommend? I would like it to be 110V. What is the dig difference between the Lee production pot IV and the Pro 4?

I'm also new to casting but I know tools and how to use them very well. Get the 110v Lee Pro 4 20lb Bottom Feed. It works and it's cheap. You'll see a lot of people having a drip problem with it. Just keep the spigot rod clean and spin it every now and then and you shouldn't have a problem. If you leave it unattended during warmups put a metal container under it large enough to hold what is in the pot. Then if you have a melt down it's an inconvenience rather than a disaster. Production Pot 4 is 10lbs and 500 watts. Pro 4 20 is 20 lbs and 700 watts.

I also recommend the Lee 4-20 Pot. Its a good pot for the price. The new design has a upgraded metal handle that helps with the drip issue. I have the new design and haven't had any drip issues. Leaving a pan under under the pot while its unattended is a good idea.

I am sticking with the 3 i bought the lee 4-20 after decades of pot on the stove melting and its worth every penny and then some,
Plus an added feature replacement parts are cheap and easily attained as well.....

graf and sons has some in stock price is fair I know they are cheaper elsewhere but they also are not in stock

they claim its taking a week to ship but my last order I made on Thursday was shipped that night

When my 20 pound lee pot starts to drip, I spin the rod with an electric screwdriver for about 15 seconds. Works wonders.
Much more effective than a manual screwdriver.

I bought the Lee IV ten pounder and definitely should have gotten the 20 pounder.

After 25 years of casting and ten years of using a Lee 4-20 drip-o-matic I was finally able to procure an RCBS Pro Melt. It was expensive but is absolutely the single nicest thing I have ever bought for my casting activities.

NOTHING wrong with a Lee pot, get a thermometer so you can monitor heat and it will serve you for many years. I like the idea of the electric screwdriver on the nozzle williamwaco!

Dripping isn't just a LEE malady. I've had a Seico and a Lyman do the same thing at a lot bigger price. The RCBS hasn't yet, but sooner or later it will, just not as bad.
