Any good trade that will keep you out of the discussion about whether selling boolits is legal without an FFL. Or not. ;-)

The retail value of your efforts can be easily researched. The horse trading value is entirely between you and the other party to the barter. I won't sell boolits due to the lack of proper licensing and the desire to keep government out of my hobby.

What are they worth? When there isn't another boolit within a 100 miles from you, those boolits are magically transformed from cast galena to precision formed projectiles of 99% pure unobtanium. Your boolits are excellent and your photos are great!

On a similar vein, I went to a range over the weekend, and there were a number of folks there as a group. There was frequent opportunity for conversation and that turned quickly to the lack of ammo and components. Many of the folks there, shooting various calibers, were re-loaders of primarily purchased components. I was shooting cast (of course) and powder coated boolits. I also had some un-coated cast, including some with plain based gas checks. There was an immediate interest.

Several gentlemen expressed interest in casting. One in particular wanted to know what to buy, where to buy, etc., and of course I pointed him to Cast Boolits. I also gave him my number and offered to bring my gear and teach him how to cast with hands on instruction.

The guy takes me to the back of his truck where he had two boxes of commercially cast boolits he had been given that were as he put it 'of no use to me.' I didn't see the name of the company but they were 215 gr 41 caliber. I told him I shoot 41, my brother (who was there) shoots 41, and that he had valuable trading stock. He will hopefully give me a call in the near future so we can arrange a date/time for this training exercise.

This gentleman lives 100 miles away, but I go there every other weekend for 3 or 4 days. His 'worthless boolits' will be parleyed into learning how to make his own. His 'worthless boolits' will likely lead to a friendship, or at the very least a kinship, and you can not put a price on that sort of thing.

I would say $50 plus shipping if they were sized and lubed.
No I don't want any as I make my own at the tune of 750 boolits a hr

Now that's what it's all about.

A friend of mine wanted some Lee 452-228-1R cast/sized/lubed.
I told him to bring me Lead.
He brought me two homemade boat anchors, his neighbor made many years ago from WW's. They were 50+ lbs a piece. He got just shy of 1000 boolits. We were both happy.

As said by the others, I wouldn't sell any. Trading on the other hand could work out well for you if you needed anything. I have traded boolits for molds and other things I wanted or needed.

Worth....well thats economics..they are worth what a buyer is willing to pay.

Seriously to me their value is only in the weight of the lead say $35 to someone who doesn't cast and needs some .45 bullets twice that value is $60-$70
