The glimmer as gotten to me!

Got to shoot my new cast boolits in my 40S&W Beretta. Boolits were from LEE mold 2cav. 401-145swc lubed with FWL. NO LEADING!! You gentleman are great wealth of inform. Read alot before attemting, maybe just lucky but I am now hooked.

sometimes my fingers just don't find the keys in the right order,sorry about that. spell check-Glimmer.
Straight ww and tried both water drop and air cool. Could see a difference in hardness by the way the lead was nicked a little as the round left the mag and enterd the chamber. water drop was def. harder. These all set for about 2 wks before lube and loading.

Welcome to the forum, Leeggen. Yeah, you thank us now, but it's kinda like one fella on the forum says: "I started casting and reloading 25 years ago to save money. I'm STILL waiting for the savings to begin!" ha ha!

A LOT more to why we do this besides just "saving money", think of the quality of life increases AND just the sheer level of PRIDE when a guy/gal casts their own then shoots 'em better than anything else he/she could buy ever.

You'll STILL get lots of guys who will tell you why you cannot/should not cast or shoot cast in your guns, but NOW you know better and can enjoy a little chuckle while you are doing exactly what they say you can't-- right before their eyes! he he.

she's a bit off but she has also made her first million or three.
