I was trying out some 255gr swc 45lc over 18.5gr of 2400 out of my Blackhawk and hitting low. My sweetie wanted to try and did this on one shot:
71748

hmm...so I put in a 200gr rnfp over 6.6gr of 231 and she took a whack at it:
71749
and said "this is a pretty nice gun I like it!"

Sucks to be outshot with your own gun but at least I know if some neer-do-wells try our house my backup is better than I am!

Happens to me fairly often. I taught my D.I.L. how to shoot a couple years ago and when she comes out to the house she likes to shoot my pistols. I have some steel swingers we shoot at the smallest being a 3" circle and we shoot from 25 yds. Her best so far is 11 out of 12 offhand on the 3 incher. A limb fell in front of the 12" plate and a tiny 1/4" branch went across in front of the plate where you could see it fairly plain. We took turns trying to cut the branch, she cut it on the first shot of the second cylinder full. That really made both our days!

My son and I were out shooting the 22 the other day. The old man got outshot. Getting older aint all its cracked up to be sometimes. But I was proud of him for "beating" me.

I was once challenged to a single shot by my then future FIL. He wanted to knock me down a few notches I believe.
We shot muzzloaders, one shot, at 50 yards. Unbeknownst to him used a rifle that wpuld shoot very well when loaded with 2 balls over a single powder charge. On a target with a 10 ring down he shot an 8, I shot a 16.

Yeah, that didnt work out the way he planned. Hard to believe that was about 28 years ago.

Was at an informal action shooting match, poppers, droppers, bowling pins etc. run by a friend. I was shooting my compact aluminum framed 9mm and doing Ok. The friend said to have a go with his 1911 in 45 acp. To his surprise I had the second fastest time right behind his :-)

My best friend got a new Bennelli Montefeltro lefty 12gauge a few yes back and we took it out to try it out on some clays. Well damned if I could not miss with that gun! It just fit me I guess. He was pissed. I offered to buy the gun if he ever wanted to sell it!

It happens to me every single time I'm out with my oldest son no matter what we are shooting, rifle, pistol, shotgun. He is pushing 40 and I started him out when he was about 3. Plus he loves to shoot even more than I do.

Careful now, she's gonna start laying claim to it -then others. You'll say no its mine & she will challenge you to a shoot comp for it. I double dog dare ya to accept that challenge, with her target as it is."I" used to have a panther bull 20 I did purty good with, then the wife shows me how its done. She shoots the center out then proceeds to cut off sections of the target with it. Thanks fer sharing.
