UPS stated they are sorry for the delay in delivery but the government is going to inspect my 8 pound powder jug before they can deliver it?

Has anyone else had this happen?

Yup, make work for job justification. See it all the time in with State work.

What dates did this start happening to you guys, as it did not happen on my last powder order - and does it happen to you on every order or just at random?

My order was 2 days after the Boston bombing. It was the 1st time it has ever happened to e and I have ordered a whole bunch of powder and primers through the years.

Typical gub'ment knee jerk reaction. They are going to use it as a reason to keep track of our orders. Guess I better keep cash on hand and spend it locally.

I had a small order, med flat rate box, via UPS w/ USPS final, arrived Mon at a midway
UPS facility, left Fri. Three days of sitting time. Box taping was re-done. No powder/primers, just a few dies, parts, handles.

just had a package with 3 lbs of powder stopped at the Chicago UPS for 4 days .. went thru h@@@
getting it released.. was packaged, labeled, and shipped per regs.. but they came up with all kinds of issues which were all shot down..
I even had to refax and email documents 4 times before they would release the shipment..
had another shipment of powder stopped in Atlanta Ga for 3 days .. no excuse given so far

The intent is to hassle enough that carriers will not mess with it.

If big brother is inspecting you powder orders and primer orders. I'm sure they are making a list as well. Just the thought going through my head.

With their watching and new database in Nevada the gub'ment will know our every move/purchase/habit.

You're exactly right....my thoughts too. That *** we have in office is slowly but surely clamping down on the law abiding

Well guys I have never ordered ammo, powder or primers online. I am getting into reloading for shotshells as soon as I can get all the supplies. I had planed to order it online but now all my supplies will be bought with cash locally or I'll drive to buy elsewhere. The government has NO right to know what we are buying these packages being held & searched is a red flag for me.

Welcome to our world, we get grubby little government sods reinterpreting the rules from time to time so as to make a name for them selves by making it difficult for us, it does get frustrating.

The politicians like to call us paranoid...but look who is carefully watching who..................... Our government was set up so that the government would fear the citizens not vice versa.......................
