CarpetMan's Lament
I am a simple CarpetMan,
just trying to get through life,
but the Big General up in the sky,
sends me a lot of strife.
I used to be in the Air Farce,
my job was to recruit,
I had a Good Conduct Medal,
on my nice blue suit.
Now I ride my new bicycle,
spend all my time fixing flats,
believe me, I'd much rather,
be out chasing cats!
I will get them anyway,
be it fair or foul;
when that sack goes into the river,
you ought to hear them howl!
When the Big ScoreKeeper,
renders his final stats,
He'll know who among us,
rid the world of cats.
I'll get my reward in Heaven,
when I see the Pearly Gate;
ten thousand cats will be waiting,
to finally seal my fate.
My only hope for salvation,
is Starmetal and his One-hole Guns;
After all the insults I laid on him,
will he save my buns?
