I ran my first cast of 45 and 40 boolits did about 1500 45s and 2000 40s. Thanks to all of you guys i did alot of reading and all went well. Everything you guys said was spot o.,what to look for, what temp, what times, everything was spot on. A big thanks looking forward to doing 9 as soon as i get a 356 resize die i cant find one right now.

Sorry no pics.....I already loaded and shot the 45s my 1911 at them up like candy.


Forgot to mention the lead I used to cast with I smelted from range mining and ww

For your 9mm .356 may be to small. I size and shoot .358 out of my glock and hi-point carbine and they work well no leading. And grats on casting i know i just started a few weeks ago and wish i would have a long time ago.

+1 on sizing to .358 in my .380 ACP and 9MM pistols. Sized that way since the 80s without a problem. I decided to try sizing to .357 in a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel and the Glock patterned at 15 feet. That was very embarrassing.

Check your barrel though - I sized a few of mine at .358 and loaded 10 rounds - none passed the plunk test into the barrel. To be fair, it could have been something I had done wrong. :)

I am going to slug this weekend, it is a kkm 40-9 for my g35 so I would expect it to be pretty close to .356
