New to the forum. Have a French Berthier Carbine, 8x50R cartridge. A .323 bullet practically falls through the bore. Slugged it and groove diameter in .327, lands are .324. I'm not yet into casting but do load all my milsurps in cast. So, do any of you know where I might find such a bullet? Thanks for reading!

Buffalo Arms sells a .327" FMJBT bullet for the 8x50R. I use an 8mm Max mold from Midsouth that drops at about .328" in my Lebel R35. One problem is my Lee dies are made for .323" bullets; so I ordered a custom expander from them as well(can't remember but I think the .327"-.331"). There are some members here who make custom expanders as well.

I did find that bullet listed a Buffalo Arms. Was hoping for cast. May be getting into casting my own sooner that expected. Too many hobbies, already. Thanks

p.m bullshop he probably has the right mold.
I had one then gave it to 45 nut then of course acquired another 8mm Lebel.
the 8mm manlichter [x56R airc] also takes the same boolit.

The standard Lee .329" bullet they make supposedly for the 8X56R should do perfectly in those dimensions.

+1...my Lee mould drops .3295 from the 'hard' alloy I use for CF rifle. Pan-lubed and loaded 'as-cast', it shoots quite well in both an M95 Steyr and a M1916 Berthier.

OK, problem loading these .329 bullets in Lebel Cases. I've flared the casemouth and the bullet will start in but bulges the neck. No splits with the first few, and they will chamber. is there a neck sizer in .329 or .330?
