Today I test casted and tuned in the mill to cut the 223 molds. I start production tomorrow but I wanted to show you the results of all this work. After warming the mold and cranking the heat on the pot I was dropping nice boolits right away. These dropped a bit big but that's not a problem as its just a number I change in the mill. It's a 62gr boolit.

Those look really good. I'd like to buy one when you start production.

If they are dropping just a little large you could probably offer that one up as a mould for the .22 Hi Power.

They look okay, but I think they need some field testing. I humbly volunteer to try out one of your molds for 20 or 30 years and provide regular field reports :)

JT are you planning on keeping an on hand stock of the molds? Will the shelf price be the same as your other post? Kevin

y'all are too late i'll be there in the morning to pick it or one just like it up.
no seriously i'll be there tomorrow.

looks like just the drive bands are a bit big, if they are making 227 that is what you want.

Large drive band can be dealt with but what is the nose diameter?

Those ought to work very nicely in the longnecked 222R.

Dan.
they should be in the 218-219 area right in front of the front drive band and for a short bit forward.
then start sloping after that.
just enough bore ride to align everything right before the drive band hits the rifling.
it looks like JT got the little bevel on the front drive band to help there too.
it's hard to tell for sure from the pictures.
