chamber vs cartridge update

I'm sure yu all remember the 50 ak story where I was going to end up with .008-.010 dia difference tween cartridge and chamber. Well after a call to PTG and getting a custom grind on the reamer and getting some starline brass I got a difference in diameters of .002-.0025. I'm happier with that

Hope your guy cuts slow, cleans often, and is generous with the oil. Did you know that final size will also depend on the grade of steel and the heat treat of it too?

Oh yer dead on with that one Bass. He does a lot of quality rebarrelling. The 50 ak reamer wouldnt create the heat as say a 348 would. I would think it be a less heat maker than something with a glopping taper. He knows to flush well. The reamer is new. I know the final outcome is bared on somewhat by methods, but I figure best start with good numbers
