As many people use forums to vent their various frustrations with the world they can often seem a bit pessimistic so how about this:

Drive 100 miles to my brothers in phoenix and he wants to go to Cabelas....OK sure

There in the aisle are 3 gents chatting who did not know each other. There on the shelf were 8000 small pistol primers @ $34/1000. I picked up 2000 and smiled....these will hold me for a while I said. Each of the gents was holding 1000 and one said to me that he wanted to buy 2000 but did not want to be a pig. I said if you bought them all to sell for 100+ per thousand would be one thing but I didn't think anyone would think that extra 1000 would be hoarding. Each of the fellows picked up 1000 more and we all left carrying 2000 each with 3000 remaining on the shelf.

My brother being something of a cynic said I might as well have taken all the primers............someone else would.

I said "maybe but none of the people in that Isle did and I like to think what we left on the shelf brightened another day or two"

I hope you find the primers of your choice because the other guy made sure to leave them there for you.....Dave

Lets see...........How many miles between Chicago and Phoenix?

Even on a fast flight, the remaining 3 boxes will be long gone by the time you get there. lol

Lets go check out the Cabelas in Hammond. It is a lot closer than Phoenix.:bigsmyl2:

I wonder why the Cabela's in Ft. Worth didn't have any this morning? Folks around here must not be as polite as in Phoenix! LOL

That's why I grit my teeth on other forums when some jackwagon brags " I saw 75 boxes of ammo on the Walmart shelf..I bought 50, had the wife buy 10, and sent the family chimp in to buy the rest, so I'm set". Well, to tell true, sometimes I don't grit my teeth so well and get warning PM's from mods.....

Not one person to commend the guys (could have been gals) to act in a very dignified manner in my opinion? With all the people complaining online how grabbing everything is so bad (when they can't get what they want) but grab everything they can get? You folks don't deserve what another person was kind enough to leave for you.

Enough said....Dave

I generally find more and at a better price at Sportsmen's warehouse. I haven't seen a lot of primers but occasionally I see a carton of primers. I don't really need any right now. But I might pick some up in a few months.

That's reassuring to say the least. I'm pleased that supply is starting to return, and hopeful that i'll be able to buy when the need arises this fall.
