We recently had a thief hit several businesses in our town, thankfully a not too common occurence here. He made a big haul in excess of $20,000 about a month ago. Last night he hit 5 businesses netting 5 or 6,000 and my friends gun and ammo. I had reloaded some cast rounds for the M1 Carbine that had belonged to his Grandfather and took it and a 44 Mag Ruger Super Blackhawk to him at his businesson Monday. He had left it in his office, but took the 44 with him last night. The thief struck in the wee hours and took the rifle and probably $300 in ammo. The business that lost the most money had a security system but it was left off for an employee to open early that could not get the code in correctly, causing a few false alarms. That bird had better not get caught in this county as we take a dim view of such and tend to give max sentences. Security systems will be installed in even more stores now. He inherited the gun not long ago and has never recorded the serial number, but it has his GF SS# on it.

Sorry to hear that. He didn't have the rifle locked up?

Hate to say this, but, most of the time it can be traced back to someone who knew it would be disabled

Yes, short suspect list in a situation like this.

We know it was the same guy as several places had video surveillance and the perp is plainly seen wearing a ski mask, hoodie with a hole in the back of the head, gloves, and jeans. He also likes to cut fences to travel on foot away from the streets.

Does that actor still have a job?

Recently we had a rash of bank robberies here in Michigan by a robber wearing sunglasses, thus he was nicknamed the "sunglasses bandit". He was finally cornered in Georgia last week. He ate a bullet of his own rather than be taken. A lot of people up here kinda wanted him taken alive.Robert

Permanent and cost effective = Best choice/solution!

Now if we could just figure out a way to get them to do that before they screw up things for so many other folks.
