Have seen before---still great!

Subject: Angel Flight.........Another Hero Coming Home!

Please make sure your sound is on ~~~
I thought you would enjoy this one. If you watch this with dry eyes,
check your pulse!

One reason it is called Angel, is that when the plane releases its
decoy missiles, as is shown in several of the pictures, it creates an
Angel shape in light & smoke.

Listen to the words of the pilot and the tower, and make sure you sit
quietly and listen to the very end.

This is beautiful. God bless the Veterans!

Hard to listen to still, we lost a local boy last year in an IED attack and it hit us all. You were a good cowboy Jeremy, God bless you!

I seen that awhile back. I bet I listened to it 10 times if I listened to it once. It definitely will bring tears to your eyes!

Tears to your eyes most definitely and if you ever served more so as you know some who didn't make it home.

Angel Flight is a designator that goes along with the aircraft number and gives them priority takeoff and landing in respect of the dead they carry. I don't think it has anything to do with the flares, which are used by all aircraft.

At any rate, Foster wrote a great song that's hard to listen to. You can download it from iTunes and probably elsewhere.

Correct.

Escort Duty is the toughest assignment any soldier, sailor, airman, marine or guardsman will ever have.

It's also the highest privilege one can be bestowed.

But damn. . .

I have seen the video many times, I can't help but watch it again each time it is brought to my attention. I sure view our current servicemen different now than I did when I was in. It also brings great joy to see the respect given them unlike it was during the 60's & 70's. God bless and protect them!

Escort duty is my definition of bitter/sweet.
The bitterness of the job and the honor of the duty.

Yes I too watch it whenever it rises to the top again. It is bitter-sweet. I am proud to live in a country where we pause and give priority to our heros. Godspeed to each and every one.
