I been shooting Unique in the 45ACP 40 and 38 Sp. I would get a little leading now and then but not anything to worry about. I switched over to Red Dot with the same gun bullet and alloy. The Red Dot load is slower, leads more and doesn't shoot as well. Would a faster burning powder cause leading??
Except in the 38 Sp it shoots fine.

Boolit doesn't fill the rifling, it's too small when it enters the barrel. Are these bought boolits? If so they are probably too small, too hard, with too hard lube. The red dot has faster pressure peak and gas cuts the boolit in the barrel. Slug the gun and see what size the barrel, chamber, and throats are. Your boolit needs to be at least .001 over size in the barrel and can be affected by the throat sizing it down, or even the brass squeezing down the boolit when being seated.

What alloy?

What lube?

What bullet?

What sizing?

What load of each powder?

I think I was being to stingy on the LLA. I had cut it in half with mineral spirits. I coated some with straight LLA and it fixed the problem.
