How'd I do?

Just got home from a gun run. I met a guy at Bass Pro a couple of weeks ago. He was trying to sell off a collection of guns. He had a ton of Marlins and a bunch of military guns. I went to his house today and narrowed my list to 3. I got an unfired Marlin .375 with a 4x Weaver scope, a Ruger new model Single Six with both cylinderrs new in box, and a Ruger Mark II blued .22 with a six inch barrell. The Rugers are in the old yellow boxes with black ends. He also threw in a box of 200gr Winchester Big Bore 94 .375s. I got the whole works for $750.00.

He has a ton of other guns that he is going to hold on to for me that I can pick up as I get the money. He has a nice old 336 in .35 Remington, and unfired 1894 in .44 mag pre CBS, and a .444 in nice condition. He has some old semi auto .22s that are not model 60s, a camp 9, a levermatic, a take down 22 mag that comes in a pouch, a SS mark II with a scope and an original Super Blackhawk 44 mag flat top. He is going to have to be convinced to sell that one.

I don't know the exact value of each gun indivdually, but I'd say with all you got, and the final price, you almost got a free gun in there somewhere. Big thumbs up! Stock up on those Federal 550 bulk packs, get a set of 375 dies (if you don't already have them) and make hay while the sun shines... :-D

If the take-down in a pouch is a Marlin, it might e a Papoose. My dad has one in 22LR. It is one of his favorite guns. The bag is foam lined and will float the gun if dropped into water.

The take- down is in a padded pouch. I wanted to get it too, but, funds are what funds are. I also didn't know that much about them.
