Was over at my gunsmith buddy's today for coffee, and he was fitting a new firing pin in a Browning model 71... which had been re-barrelled in 50-110. Ooh baby. Methinks I've got to build me one of those... soon.

Ya may want one, but they aren't all that kindly, recoil wise. You may want to travel up to Sandpoint, and see if you can shoot some of the serious BPCR chamberings Dave Gullo has, before investing money. I've shot a .50-110, and can imagine the same retinal detaching enjoyment can be had by others.

Last year I drooled long and hard over a Marlin 1895 that was built in 1896 and had been rebored I would say in the 1920's to 50-110 .

The guy was in cali and wanted about $3250 that was the major hinderance :???:

Probably before I ever have a 50-110 , I'll have a 50 Alaskan . Can do that whole deal for about $900 over the cost of the NIB 1895G I have squirreled away for the conversion .

Waksupi , don't tell me that LOL's ! I have a 50-90 Shiloh Sharps on order as we speak [smilie=1:
