Seen him on a few TV documentaries about shooting...
Seemed a really nice guy and quite the showman...
A loss to all in shooting - clay shooters or not...

Wow, the shooting sports have lost one of their greatest PR men. Awesome showman who always promoted safety as well as the sport.

Tom did a couple of public events for my company the past few years. He was a fine gentleman and a true ambassador of the shooting sports.

Sigh..... Bob Munden AND Tom Knapp both within a few months of each other? Truly OUR loss as an industry, a community and a country. May he Rest In Peace with the Good Lord at his side.

Truly a sad day. What a fine man he was. I guess the Lord wanted some shooting lessons.

What is sad is that the new generation of exhibition shooters lack the "class" of the likes of Tom and Bob...........

Tom was one of my favorites. His deep smooth voice just added to his natural showmanship skills. RIP Tom.

He couldn't have been that old. He was a class act. I met him at the big outdoor Expo Texas Parks and Wildlfe had in Austin for about 15 years before budget cuts killed it. He sure had style.

Wow. Never got the chance to meet him or Bob and now i never will! Sheesh, i can't think of noe of the newer shooters that can come up with the skill and act to match them. I grew up watching them shoot on "American Shooter" when i was a little kid and always wanted to meet then.

There are a few young shooters out there that are pretty good but they seem like they are on speed and seem more interested in promoting themselves than the sport.......................

This really sucks! My wife and I had spent many hours enjoying his showmanship via tv and youtube. Truly a loss to our shooting community.

I saw a reference to Tom being 62 y.o. No one knows the day or the hour...

Loved seeing Tom's videos on TV and on the net - he was a real class act and will be missed!

Rest in peace, Tom.

Living in hawaii, I never thought I'd have the honor of seeing him shoot in peson.
A few years ago the range master called me to say Mr. Knapp was on island, and was doing a show the next day.
I was there early and got to talk to Mr. Knapp. A true gentlman. Treated me like we were old buddys. I even got to help with the show.
After the show, I stood in line to get his autograph. When it was my turn he remembered my name. Shook my hand and thanked me for helping him. What big star would ever do that.
I will always cherish the memory of having met one of the trully great ones.
Happy trails Mr. Knapp. Till we meet again.
