Thinking of getting into casting for 223 and curious as to what size lube die to go with .224 or .225. Can any one point me in the right direction? Would be used in a bolt gun or Mini-14 with gas checks.

I use .224 in bolt and auto guns, Have'nt had a problem with it yet.

Have you slugged the bore or taken a throat measurement to know how big of a boolit you will need? How big are your boolits when they drop?

You may not have to size them at all. Just crimp the check and lube.

I use .225 and it has worked in 22 Hornet, 222, 223. and 22-250 so far. If you have a tight chamber AR maybe you would have to go to .224. If you don't use an M die you may be sizing the boolit down as you seat it anyway.
