First post here, thanks for having me. Can a 228 bullet be resized to a 225 and work in an ar15 or will the bullet be deformed to all hell?

I've never resized that far. You may be able to. I have no clue. Somebody here will know in a second.

It depends on how you size. I use Corbin reloading-press type bullet reducing dies..these are nose-first size design..with a very smooth generous leade angle..I have sized .003" without severe damage..your only talking ..0015"/side..of course no sizing or minumum is probably the ideal for accuracy.

Im using a star/magma lube sizer and I run nose first. I would probably use the .224 sizing die. Id like to also apply the gas checks at the same time with the star. Is this operation feasible?

Use a push thru die nose first. The ogive will give more lead into the die

Thanks for the info. Do you know if my star sizer will apply a gas check when sizing also?
