Sooo Close

Getting sooo close to casting some boolits. I have been casting pure lead ingots like a man possessed, and have enough to choke a goat, with another couple hundred pounds to go. I received my package from Rotometals today, 20# super hard and 2# of tin, but I'm still waiting for the elusive LEE handles to show up. [smilie=b:

Sparky, here's a tip, don't make up all of that alloy into one big batch. With the Super Hard, tin and pure you can make up an infinite variety of alloys and you will find that as time goes on you will want different blends for different calibers, firearms etc. You don't want all your eggs in one basket so to speak. If you make up a pot full as you need it you'll still have all the rest for other options if/when things change and they most always do.

There's a mirror behind it, so the pile is actually only three deep, but a little bigger now. Should be something around, 450# in my pyramid.

Im not gonna run it in to one alloy, just enough to cut the super hard and tin into "workable additive" ingots... if that makes sense. Something like cutting the super hard with 5 #s of lead to make 10 ingots of.....Less super hard. That way I could cut those into batches for casting.
