Anyone have exp. with the Lyman 452460 in the 45 ACP? Any issues with feeding?

How close is the Lee 452-190 SWC? Seems pretty similar...

Thanks!

Tristan

I have cast and shot many of the Lyman 452460 in the 45 ACP and have had incredible accuracy.

I don't know about Lee 452-190 SWC, but the 200 SWC in the H&G #68 clone is very good too.

I've been shooting the 452460 for over 30 years, it's an excellent target bullet that cuts nice holes in paper. Mine is the older version with a pronounced swc shoulder on it. The pics of the newer one show the nose tapering into the outer edge. If I were going to buy a new .45 mold I would sure consider the Lee. It looks just like my Lyman, if I did'nt have a 4 cav I would probably get the lee 6 banger. I've had no feed or function problems in 3 .45's that I've owned.

Ive tested them side by side in 4 1911s and in every case the lyman out did the lee but not by a whole load. Im talking probably 1/4-1/2 differnce in group size. Granted it wasnt scientific and if i would have tried enough powder and primer combos i might have found a case or two that the lee did better then the lyman. Bottom line is there both good bullets that will serve you well in the acps.
