sizer nose punch trick

A week back I didn't have the appropriate nose punch for the bullet I was sizing so it dawned on me to use the seating punch out of my bullet seating die. It work near perfect in my lyman sizer............ I'm not sure all stems may fit the hole on the sizer by my RCBS ones did......................

I bored one out and made a custom fit with JB Weld. Be sure and smear some Alox, PAM cooking spray or Paste wax on the boolit first.

Buckshot sells a kit for making custom fit nose punches. The punch is overbored and JB Weld (comes in the kit) is used to form to the boolit nose. One neat thing is that you can remove the JD Weld with heat and change shapes. IIRC the kit comes with a number of punches in your choice of diameters and is very affordable.

If it wasnt for JB weld, I would have some messed up lookin boolits....lol
