As long as idiots keep paying these kind of prices, things will never get back to normal.

When I bought one of those packs a few years ago I was pissed off that I paid $18 out the door. Wow.

I was at a LGS a few days back and had the chance to buy several of those bulk packs for $30 each. I told the owner he was out of his mind. He told me if you sit here for 20 min they will all be gone. Sure enough in about 10 min a fella came in and bought 2 boxes, 5 min later another came in and bought 2 boxes, and as he was leaving a third fella walked in and bought the last 3 boxes. I could not believe it. I ask the owner if he had called those folks or told them that he would have 22 LR in that morning. He told me he hadn't, but he has people come in every morning about an hour after he opens and asks about 22 ammo. After the last boxes walked out, while I was still looking around 5 or 6 more people came in looking for 22 ammo. It is crazy. How could people not see this coming?

Best wishes,

Joe

And the buyer will probably sit on them then kick himself when new stock hits the shelves at $25.........

R5R, yes, Dong's (http://dongsguns.com/), in Tulsa, on Admiral. Used to be a really good spot to get stuff when Mae and Fong Dong (Korean) had it. They were good folks. I don't go there any more (for a long time now).

Its auction, you guys never see auction items go for more than they're worth? Happens all the time.

yep corky that's the place.
I understand the new owners pretty much kept the name only.
then just jacked the prices on everything and changed it all around.
and that it was a good shop under the original owners.
