Is there nothing positive or good left for anybody to post ?

Good grief I've seen maybe 3-5 positive happy posts in a month.

I'm about 2 hours from Easter dinner w/15 including 4 grand babies 2 of my 4 kids GF and her oldest son and the whole tiny little social circle of mine is in mourning.

I double dirty dog dare you all , post something positive!

Really ? 20 lookers not 1 positive word?

My grandmothers were right, they would have been 101 and 125 in the next 2 weeks, folks shouldn't say nuthin if if it ain't nice.

Come on guys I know there's a shortage of everything, the DC zombies are screwing us and at least in my back yard the weather sucks. But if you read it you're still breathing and have a pulse and that beats the daylights out of some of the options.

You have mashed the hot button with me. I tend to get wrapped up in seeing what is coming for this country and lose sight of all the things I am blessed with. Thanks for posting, smooch them babies and Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!

Had one of those lightbulb moments about and hour ago!!!! Me my woman and both our kids were over at Bass Pro for the Easter Egg hunt, and boy were the kids EXCITED. Watching the two of them (6 & 9) get so incredibly excited over finding 5 empty eggs a piece to get a handful of candy really pointed out to me that all the things we "chase" don't really matter!!! You don't need the best, newest, or fastest, just have fun looking for empty eggs.

We all forget that it's the journey and fun of the unexpected that matters!!!

SO I wish that everyone gets to find that empty egg that they can enjoy as much as these two kids did!!!!

Little rainy today, and I'm glad to be alive and able to hear the rainfall.
Wife and I enjoyed a fine Easter brunch after Church services. We're spending a quiet day and each other's company.

I just got back from the range and letting my mom empty out some magazines, and smiled with pure joy as she rung steel at 600 yds. Then she shot up all my 38 specials. Then she shot up most of my 9mm. Then she shot up other stuff. Good times!!

I met the new caretaker at our club, he gave me permission to grab some indoor range lead from the backstop. :) I spent Good Friday on the range with a WWII VZ24, a Romanian M69 and a shooting buddy. A dozen clay birds went down range to catch the incoming rounds for us. Keep the faith, read the good book. Stay strong. Keep moving forward.

After exhausting your ordinance I hope she gave you a copy of her EASTER recipes?

Spent Last weekend camping with about 30 Christian Scouts for a shooting weekend. They all got to shoot .22, shotgun clays, high power, black powder, and a variety of handguns. Held Palm Sunday services around a campfire in Gods great outdoors. They all had fun and I'm still recovering.

I know what you are getting at, OP. But every day is a blessing for me. I dont think today is different than any other except that this is the day we celebrate the LORDS gift to us. Read my request for prayers from the other day. I am ALL about family and kids and spending time with everyone I can. I have to take all the little blessings and recognise them every day. I dont ever say "why me?" I say "Why not me? I can handle it and would rather suffer than put my suffering on someone else." That is what the Lord said, and I try to live my life by those examples.
Dont get me wrong, I whine like a little girl with a skinned knee when I am sick, but that is all right. I look at my wife and kids and I KNOW I am blessed. I hope everyone else is as blessed as I feel I am.

I've moved and everything is all over. I did aquire a table w/the move. So we sat down to lunch, ham, veggies, salads, tatters, around a table that has now fed off/on 6 generations . Wrights,Mitchells,Hughes,Fords,Talbert,Harts. Born from 1888 to next Friday .

Now i won't get to sling any lead, but it was a fine meal and in another hour the mess will be cleared and the kids will sugar crash and order will..........yea right .

Love Life ,
Have you ever seen "This little bullet"? "Now kids don't tell you mom about this new way to make colslaw ,she'll use up all your ammo".

Despite everything that seems to drag people down...... being alive and seeing the millions of small miracles taking place every day is good.....any day your feet hit the floor is a good day, unless ofcourse, they fell out of your coffin....smiles.

It's been a good weekend. Yesterday turkey scouting in the morning then shooting the turkey shotguns, after that I shot some eggs with the M29. I have laying hens and let some eggs stay outside overnight, the temp was low enough that 1 froze and cracked open. I couldn't sell them so we set them on golf tees, they made great reactive targets. Today I started out listening to gobbling and then went to church. Life is good and Happy Easter.

Rain about 3:00 AM and then beautiful sunshine and mild temps with little wind. A rare day in the Texas Panhandle. We had early communion and then breakfast at church with an egg hunt after for 400+kids (including my 3 yr. old grandson) and lunch for the crowd. I came home and worked in the reloading room casting and sorting, cleaning brass. A good day.

The snow cover is just about gone...iffin I can get out to the sportsman club range during the next warm up (tuesday maybe?), there should be a 5 gallon bucket of brass (556,45,9) to pick up (mostly matching HS and basically same lot...because there was a police shoot last november or december ???...we had freezing rain turning to snow that evening and into the next morning and all that brass has been encapsulated in ice ever since (otherwise I would have picked it up then...It was still froze two days ago...I think early this week someone will get to pick up a bonanza
...hoping it's me :) Happy Easter !!!

Today was bright sunny and warm here in East WA. Napped on the lawn at the park while the little ones ran around finding easter eggs. Idyllic.

Just managed to buy a ton of 209 primers and a hundred pounds of lead, the Lee Load All 2 arrived a week ago.... So soon my brother and I will begin trying to load in earnest. Some buckshot, slugs, and round ball for plinking and a huge heap of small shot for hillbilly skeet.

What is hillbilly skeet?

We have between us 5 shotguns that cost less than $80 each. Some single barrel break opens and a couple of bolt action goose guns. We're going to load a bucket load of light birdshot loads, get a couple of hand flingers and a couple of friends together and see if we can manage to hit a few clay pigeons out of the air (they're easy to hit on the ground).
