Stumbled across this auction today for 2 ingot molds (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Vintage-Cast-Iron-Ingot-Molds-Lead-Bars-SAECO-LYMAN-/290885941885?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43ba273a7d) (Lyman & Saeco). Vintage apparently is the key word

Wow!
Even though the Lyman IS a bit of a collectable, or a curiosity at least.
It's one of the old reversed 'N' molds.

You should see what the Bator and NOE molds are going for! (no comment on the guy who bought out NOE to resell on eBay)
Are people really that scared?

Darn!! Outside of mine not being rusty, I've got a pair just like that...one SAECO and one Lyman (w/reversed 'N')...that I've been using for close to forty years. Ya'll think I'd get more if I dunked 'em in saltwater 'fore listin' 'em on FleaBay?

Commanding use of the word "vintage." Applaud your marketing technique.

Hey, It's been a good week for me. 4 lee molds, and a lee die set fetched over 630$ off of Ebay to buy/pay for molds from here. Just some junk I had lying around and not getting used. It is the seller fee's that are the rip off.

I have THREE matching antique and extremely rare SAECO MOULDS with an evenly matched patina of natural brown PRESERVATIVE protecting their vintage finish.

Do I hear an opening bid of only $400.00?:castmine::bigsmyl2:

The Lyman и ingot molds have always commanded a premium on Ebay.

Items that have been discontinued and are subject to collector interest may bring prices that are insane to us user types.

Gee, I have 9 of the Lyman ingot molds with the backward N.
I could retire on the sell of them, OH wait, I am already retired. :)
