Looking to solve a lubing problem by adding a gass check to the top of my center puch to fill in the bevel base of my bullet that keeps filling with lube. Im using bullets cast from a lyman 401638. Does anyone have any gas check that would fit that they would be willing to drop in an envelope and into the mail? Im using an old lyman 45 luber/sizer with 401 punch. Thanks in advance

If it's a bevel base wadcutter, it's the same problem. In the sizer lubricator, lube is deposited on that bevel. Placing a gas check open end up on the die center punch prevents the lube from sticking to the bevel. That's the theory, anyway.

Would anyone be interested in selling me or sending me a few .38/357 gas checks to try this out??[smilie=1: I'm good for the postage. Does the gas check stay in place on the die or does it have to be re-positioned each time. :( That would defeat the purpose.

Let me know folks !!

Thanks, Shiloh :castmine:
