Anyone have any experance with the CH 4D 410 Die sets? Was wondering if plastic shells could also be loaded with them.
only shoot a few 410s but like being able to reload for them..

Probably cheaper in the long run to get a MEC 600 JR in 410

Here's a way to do it without a die set or a press. http://forums.outdoorsdirectory.com/showthread.php/112231-Reloading-410-shotshells-without-a-press

I started with the Lee loader. Keep your eyes pealed for a used MEC 600 JR. as they are the best way to go now matter how few you might load. I know several guys that bought new ones when they were selling for 50 some bucks and didn't take the time to learn how to use them. They would encounter shot bridging in the drop tube and give up and get rid of the loader.

I bought a Sizemaster in 12ga the loaded shells kept jamming in my Browning Light twelve until
I put them through a Mec shell plate and found out they would not fit.
I adjusted the Sizemaster down enough for the shells to fit the Mec shell plate now they work great.
Problem is I have not been bird or rabbit hunting in over ten years since the price of gas got so high.
Good luck with the Mec 650 loader I bought one year’s ago that was missing parts cheap and bought a set of 410 dies to fit.
Works great but shells will buckle real easy while trying to crimp them.

Been thinking on buying some 410 solid brass shells for my single shot H&R
