I have a Winchester Model 94AE in 44 Rem. Mag. The carrier had broken. I called Winchester parts department to order but the part is already obsolete! The part number is U341450190. Does anyone here know where I can order this part? I purchased this gun new in the early to mid 90s. Unbelievable that they don't stock parts for something this new.

Thanks

Google "Classic Firearms & Parts". Then call him, he has a hundred times more than is listed on the site.

I have a Winchester 94 A.E. 45 Trapper that needed a front sight , early model soldered on.I checked with Winchester and they directed me to Western Gun Parts. They had everything I needed and shipped fast , less than five days. You have to call though and they need a credit card , my bank declined my debit card thinking it was a fraudulent charge.

I was able to find the part. A gentleman in Indiana had bought out all of Winchester's 94AE carriers and I ordered from him. I still don't understand the poor customer service from Winchester. I will never buy another post 64 model 94 again. If I had known the quality of the parts were that poor when I bought it, I would never have made the purchase. The carrier is cast from light weight metal of some kind.

You might want to order some ejectors from the gentlemen also if you plan to shoot it a lot. My .357 AE (which I've shot a lot) has taken me to school on 94AE's. I've learned more than I ever wanted to know about the insides of a 94 AE!

Count yourself lucky it lasted this long. I bought a M94 AE Trapper Carbine in .44 Mag. in 1990, but my carrier broke in half the second time I had it out! My friend's dad took it into his work, where one of the maintenance guys GTAW'ed it back together. It's been flawless ever since.

I broke two carriers in a 357 AE and one in a 44 mag AE. I do not own one now. Never had a problem with a 30-30 carrier in the older rifles so have several of them.

This carrier is cast and is extremely thin and weak where it broke.

The old USRAC carriers had issues, and now that they no longer exist some parts are immpossible to find.

I have had seaveral companies aproach me in making new 44 AE carriers, as we are all ready making the pre and post 64 30-30 carriers. One of the many projects for this comming fall.
