Hi, I just cast me a bunch of LEE 300 grainers in .430 with a gas check. I am going to use this load in my Ruger Super Black
Hawk Bisley Hunter. Would 14grs of 2400 be too much for a starting load? I also have H110, RX7, Unique, 4198, 3031, 4895 and 231 to work with. I would like this load to work in my Rossi 16" model 92. My lead is my own range lead that started life as wheel weights with cold shot added to the mix. My back yard range back stop is a pile of hemlock logs that make recovering the boolits very easy as the hemlock softens from being shot at.

Your 2400 and H110 are your two most suitable powders of those you list. I personally use 19.5 gr. of H110 with that bullet, and 17.5 gr.2400 in another gun with that bullet. Work up your loads out of a reputable loading manual.

18.5 grains of H-110 was the most accurate load to ever to leave my Super Redhawk.

Whatever source I was using went to 21.5 with that boolit, but accuracy fell off with heavier loads.

YMMV on that.

18.5 may be about all of the fun you want anyway in the SBH.

Any Cal.

Usually the Speer goes 21.5-22 or so of H110 behind a 300g jacketed. Works well for me, gets about 1360 out of a 5.5" bbl. Accuracy is about paper plate for a cylinder full at 100yds w/ a Cast Performance boolit and open sights. Gets another 300fps out of a rifle.

I shoot heavy boolits from my SBH. I start with the 265 RD with 22 gr of 296 (same as H110) then the 310 Lee with 21.5 gr, the 320 LBT with 21.5 gr and my 330 gr with 21 gr. I use only the Fed 150 primer.
I don't have a load for 2400 but it will work. Leave the other powders alone.
All you need is to get the velocity and spin correct for the longer boolit. They do not like to be shot too slow or too fast.
You can start at about 19.5 gr of H110 and work 1/2 gr at a time until you find accuracy, then stop.
All the Ruger's have reached peak accuracy at 21.5 gr with the Lee 310.
I also water drop my boolits.
That boolit is the cat's meow for deer.
