Just got my first muzzleloader (Thompson Center Black Diamond 50 cal in as new shape) last week and tried out some saboted copper bullets previous owner left to me. Instead of using copper jacketed bullets in sabots, I casted .430" Lee grooved bullets and will try them out in 50 cal sabots.for my Black Diamond. My question is :should I lube those grooves with my Lyman 450 sizer or Lee Alox lube prior to seating them in the sabots ?
