I came across an 8 lb jug of 335 and am wanting to use it in my savage 110 -06 in a mild loading, lymans CBHB states imr-3031 30.5-41.5gr for the lee 150-f.
3031 is listed at 78 where 335 is listed at 81 on relative burn rate chart.
Any one have a good starting point? Or some established lod data?
Any help would be appreciated.

As a side note also have some 4895, tac, blc2, aa4350, imr4350. If any of those are better suited, i would just LIKE to use the h335.

I think that 4064, 4350, BLC2, H322 are far better choices than the 335.
I wish I could get my hands on 8lbs of 335, that is what I use for my 223 loads.

Thats what I got the 335 for. i like it for m855 clones. And it does ok for77smks but stil prefer blc(2) for velocityin that load.

H335 can be difficult to ignite consistently at lower end psi's that wre needed with cast bullets. You will possibly find that by the time you get (even with a dacron filler) consistent ignition (the psi is high enough for that ball powder to burn efficiently) the velocity is too high with the 115 gr Lee bullet. For that bullet I suggest, of the powders you list, you try the H4895 also.

A better solution, if you really want to use the H335 is to use a heavier bullet of 180 - 200 gr preferably closer to 200 gr. Manytimes what we'd "like to use" just won't work well. Always some exceptions with componants such as these so you might try the H335. I'd start at 28 gr and use a /3/4 gr dacron filler working up to where accuracy is totally unacceptable.......if you find any accuracy that is acceptable.........

Using the Lee 155 Gr GC bullet, I have had good luck with 38 grains of H335 in both .308 Win and .30/06.

H335 is a versatile powder. Has worked well for me in the above plus 7x57, 7.7, 8x57 and .30/30.
