Any container that you can live with on or below your bench is fine. Covered is best to keep the dust out until you load them.

I like to store em in Brass! One per case works just fine. :kidding:
(sorry, I couldn't resist)

Okay.... really... I store mine in ziplock sammich bags labeled with a magic marker and stacked/piled in shoeboxes. (I'm not too fancy);-)

I do really like those green boxes in the picture though.

I use uline cardboard bins on a racking system.

I use Dollar Tree Rubbermaid brand Made in USA food storage containers, they come 2 or 3 to the pack for a buck, depending on the size. As chsparkman said, it has to fit in your storage area, and it has to be covered in some way to keep the dust out- also helps keep the loob from drying out. Since they seal, once the vapor pressure of loob volatiles reaches a certain point it stays at equilibrium and the loob drying slows to a veritable standstill.

There is no one "right" answer to this question. There are some wrong answers. Corrogated brown cardboard is OK for very short term storage- just OK- I prefer to avoid it. It makes its own dust and it absorbs the volatiles from the loob. White, waxed flat white cardboard is much better, but it still doesn't seal.

Hefty quart size Slider bags. These have stronger seal than Ziplok bags. They also have a White background on bag to wright bullet info. I use a permanent Sharpie pen to write

These clear bags also work verygood for applying liquid Alox lube. Insted of tumbling you just roll inside bag. You can see if all are coated.

Baby formula cans.
They stack up fast. They're heavy duty, hold a good bunch of ammo or boolits and have a nice tight lid.

Mostly the 4x4x4 cardboard boxes like commercial casters use. Any bigger and they get heavy fast. Unless in a very humid area cardboard tolerates stacking for a pretty good while. The rest are stored in heavy poly bags with a locking seam. A product I receive in quantity at work comes with the manuals in these bags which have a tiny hole in both sides inthe middle of the bag so excess air leaks out. We don't want the end recipient to receive the factory manuals so they would otherwise be trash. I use them for boolits and loaded ammo and then put them in steel ammo boxes.

I like those "disposable" containers they came out with - heavy enough to do the job and dirt cheap at 4/$2 at Wally World. I write on the lid what's in 'em. I used to use the plastic containers from certain Chinese take out but they get kind of heavy. They *do* make a decent pan for pan lubing since they're flat on the bottom.

I use plastic coffee cans. I don't drink coffee so I have to get them from my brother Ray and other local sources.
They can hold about 1200 or so 220 grain 41 mag boolits or over 2000 of the 125 38sp fprn.

When I am casting I cast enough to fill one of those up then I stop.
Same with sizing. I size enough until I get a full can then I stop.

I go to the dollar store and buy the 2 pack of sandwich tuperware the ones that have a sandwich side and then another smaller side. I put my unlubed(rifle) boolits in the big side and the gas checked and lubed in the other smaller side so I know exactly how many of each I have

For large numbers of boolits I like the tins that the fruit cakes come in at Christmas or any of the variants that are usually available at garage sales for around 25 cents ea. I also like the Folgers cans. Lubed boolits go in Zip Lock bags, then in the tin. I recently found some plastic welding rod boxes (10 lb.) that hold lots of boolits in baggies and stack nicely. I can get at least 750 200 gr. SWC in one.

I use the Hillshire Farms plastic containers for lunch meats also. In fact, I suggested this on an earlier thread a year or so ago.

I use them thruout my shop for holding hardware of all types, tools etc. There are several different sizes depending on how much meat you buy.

For small qualtities or small things the current Kentucky Fried Chicken side order containers are very useful.

All of this stuff is free if you like the products that come in them. I do!

I also use these egg crates when I cast boolits. These are common in machine shops for carrying parts and keeping them separated. They keep the parts from getting banged up and it also makes it easier to count them as each tray holds 30 ea. They also stack neatly. They are available from most shipping materials suppliers for not much money. One stack will last you for a long time. Pretty much any machine shop that makes smaller parts will have them as well, just ask. Sometimes you can even buy eggs in them.

I tried plastic containers but they would get brittle and break.
Anyway wanted to see what I had in the boxes
Now use the cardboard boxes commerical ones come in. I know, I can't see through cardboard.
I cast for a buddy and we probably have used the same boxes 5-10 times--I give them to him full, and he returns it empty.

I use plastic peanut jars or Gatorade bottles. They are clear, durable, available at no additional cost and have a large mouth (easy in and out). Once I process rifle boolits and want to protect them to minimize their inaccuracy and conserve my labor (after the sort, gc and lube). I either load them right away or I keep them in the plastic ammo trays from factory pistol ammo.

Well im new to the game, but I got a whole bunch of casted up bullets from Dad after he pased. He had them in cigar boxes in 5 gal buckets. Well over time the boxes have been giving up, so I needed to rebox them all. Most of them are WC, and they are in a large skippy PB jars. the big 64oz'ers. they get a little heavy full... but nothing I cant deal with. I have some smaller PB jars holding some round nose bullets that I dont have as much of. For the small batches of oddballs I have these little screw top containers that I had got to put single size servings of fruit, or applesauce etc in my kids lunch. Depending on the bullet size, and shape they fit a nice easy 50-75 bullets. nice to hold the small batches of odd balls.
