A lot of years ago, an old shootin' buddy of my Dad's got me started in casting.
I remember that he kept a pint Jim Beam bottle of some sort of liquid that he used to flux the melt. I think it smelled like it had a lot of beeswax in it. Anybody have any idea what else might have been mixed in? Sure would like to make up a batch.

Some of the Commercial liquid flux (Ruby Fluid) has Zinc Chloride in it and probably should be avoided. I have some for soldering, but avoid introducing zinc into my lead in any form.
