Got a new toy today!

:D I recieved my Lee 175 Gn. truncated 6 banger bullet mold in .40 S&W.

I'm hoping next week to get busy pumping out a couple 1000 boolits :)

Any pointers?

This is my first Lee pistol mold. I have a couple Lee rifle molds and a couple muzzle loader molds. They have never worked good for me before, but this one sure is purrdy :lol:

Read the sticky about LEE menting your mould. It has to do with cleaning and de-burring it.
You should also after cleaning it real good is heat it up to 300-325 degrees and let cool down about 3 times to help break it in.

These days I just wash it with Dawn a couple of times, let it dry on the hotplate during preheating and start casting. It seems to work for me.

Enjoy, it will shoot good. Read the sticky on set screwing the sprue handle and sprue pivot. I also had to shave (grind) the handles to let the mould move freely.
