Andy's surgery results

Andy went into surgery about 8:30 this morning for 5 hrs. The Surgeon reported that everything went as planned, 95-98%of the tumor removed, the balance was very closely involved with the brainstem. He's probably looking at a couple of days in ICU, home in 3-7. Radiation or radiation plus chemo is probable depending on the results of pathology. Late this afternoon he was in more pain than the meds were good for, but he is alert off and on, and responds well to stimuli, no evidence of trauma from the surgery.

Thanks to all for your prayers. Andy is still doing well. The Physical Therapist could detect no difference between left and right responses. All prognoses are positive and upbeat. He is still looking at radiation and chemo for a year.
