The old 33 Win had a good reputation as a deer and moose killer. It was a 338 cal pushing a 200gn bullet to about 2000 fps. We can safely assume from the time period it was from that the gun nuts of the time were also shooting boolits from thier 33's. Fast forward a few years to the improved 33 in the 348 Win. All the same applies to the 348 Win and then some. With a 250gn bullet/boolit at about 2200 fps it made a reputation as a moose killer. We have several customers here in Ak. that use some of our several offerings for the 348 to take moose. In comparison the little 358 Win is far more cartridge than the cavernous 348 Win. With the 358 Win you can get that 245gn boolit somewhere near 2400 fps making it more than adiquite for anything we here on our rock may possibly run into.
What I would look for is the best grouping load in the 2000 fps range. If best grouping comes at 2200 fps great or if it comes at 1975 thats goodnuf too.
If you would like I will look up a pet load I worked up for a 250gn Lyman RNGC
